The Young Carers Program is still offering programs online. We are still accepting referrals, completing intakes, and are available to answer any questions you may have. Currently, we are still offering 3-4 programs weekly. Please e-mail [email protected] with the subject line "YCP" with any questions or concerns you may have.
What are Young Carers?
Young Carers are kids under the age of 18, who are in a care-giving role for a parent, grandparent, sibling or relative with a chronic or life threatening illness, disability, addiction, mental illness, or language barrier. YCP aims to provide therapeutic and recreational programming to help children and youth with care-giving responsibilities cope and interact with other young folks that have similar experiences.
At the time this video was taken, Samiha was only 15 and cared for her mother with ALS.
Here is Samiha's story:
Help kids be kids by giving as much or as little as you can from 25,25, 25,50, or $75.
