Why Reform Government Schools?
Reforming government schools is the solution to Pakistan's education crisis because:
For most Pakistani children,
a government school is the only option
In many government schools,
most of the infrastructure is already present
Only the government has the reach,
resources and responsibility to serve all children
Our Adopted Schools
Zindagi Trust has transformed two under-resourced government schools in Karachi into model institutions of learning.
SMB Fatima Jinnah Government Girls School
Adopted in 2007
2440 Students | 125 Teachers
Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Girls School
Adopted in 2015
1109 Students | 50 Teachers
Our Impact-Driven Initiatives
Transforming education with revamped facilities, enriched academics, diverse programs and student engagement.
Coding
Zindagi Trust Schools' coding program, powered by Techno-Knowledge and sponsored by KFC, offers students an exciting opportunity to explore programming. The collaboration empowers students with knowledge, tools, creativity, problem-solving skills, and promising career prospects in the digital age.
Life Skill Based Education
Our schools lead in implementing Life-Skills Based Education (LSBE) by Aahung, equipping children with skills to protect against abuse, diseases, hygiene issues, and rights violations. SMB Fatima Jinnah School's exemplary LSBE implementation supports advocating for provincial curriculum integration.
Teacher Training
We foster Professional Development at our schools for teachers, wherein Subject Leads cultivate governmental educators' proficiency by means of routine training workshops, classroom assessments, feedback, and one-on-one/group coaching sessions.
Breakfast
The Breakfast Program aims to provide essential nutritional assistance to our students, prioritizing their nutritional needs. We strive to empower these students with a strong foundation for a brighter and more prosperous future.
Arts
Each year, our schools proudly showcase the students' artwork in exhibitions, garnering remarkable acclaim and endorsements.
Health and Hygiene
Our schools prioritize students' physical and mental health, with trained medical staff and counselors offering check-ups, preventive care, therapies, and immediate medical attention. Emphasizing hygiene and cleanliness, we maintain a healthy and safe learning environment through sanitation practices.
Sports
Our students have emerged in a lot of remarkable national-level champions and have earned well-deserved recognition.
Mind Sports
We have cultivated exceptional national-level champions who have garnered well-earned recognition and have had the opportunity to showcase their skills on prominent platforms.
Mental Health
Our schools also prioritize students' mental health, with dedicated counselors on board. We are committed to fostering a supportive environment that promotes mental well-being and works to foster a stigma-free environment for our students to thrive, grow and glow.
Philosophy
Introducing Philosophy to our schools transforms the curriculum. Emphasizing critical thinking, self-reflection, and ethical reasoning, this initiative offers a well-rounded education beyond traditional subjects, fostering student growth and development.
Music
In conjunction with our core curriculum, our schools offer comprehensive music classes. Our students have wowed notables with their musical talents, earning recognition and heartfelt appreciation.
Advocacy Initiatives for Education Reform
Our advocacy has driven notable policy and legislative changes in child protection, school governance, academics, and teacher training.
