Langford reports accurate (original) (raw)

Various international Internet Web site reports of Keith Langford playing basketball in Russia next season are accurate, Langford’s agent, Michael Whitaker told the Journal-World on Thursday.

“It’s been agreed to, but not formally. All the ‘T’s have not been crossed (on contract),” Whitaker said of a two-year deal with Russian League team Khimki Moscow, good for a total of $2.6 million.

“The team has to work out a buyout of Keith’s contract,” Whitaker added, referring to a 400,000buyoutwithLangford’sformerteam,VirtusBolognaofItalywheretheformerKansasUniversityguardreportedlyearned400,000 buyout with Langford’s former team, Virtus Bologna of Italy where the former Kansas University guard reportedly earned 400,000buyoutwithLangfordsformerteam,VirtusBolognaofItalywheretheformerKansasUniversityguardreportedlyearned500,000 last season.

“Keith is very happy. When this contract expires he’ll have over $2 million in the bank at age 27 and will be able to pursue the NBA if that’s what he wants,” Whitaker added.

Khimki general manager Victor Bychkov earlier Thursday denied that an agreement had been reached with the 25-year-old Fort Worth, Texas native.
