Peter Jackson's team announced in 2006 that it would work with Bungie to co-write, co-design, and co-produce what Microsofts said was to be a "completely new and original chapter" in the Halo series. Exactly what that will be (or quite possibly "would have been"), however, has yet to be unveiled.
