Originally drafted by , Williams played 33 games for their before being delisted. He then returned to his original club, playing for his state against Victoria in <1991>, before being taken by the Demons in the mid-season draft.
Despite kicking more than 50 goals in the <1992> , Williams only forced his way into the senior side for a month. A 12 goal haul against Richmond in Round 4 earned him a start. After his four game stint in the seniors he was dropped, and delisted at the end of the year.
Williams played for the Burnie Hawks/Dockers from <1993>-<1994> and <1997>-<2000>.
