Former Brunswick vice-president and secretary who presided over their <1938> premiership before resigning in <1941>. After a year out of the game due to the Association being in recess he was appointed Melbourne secretary in January <1943>, the last part-time holder of the job.

He resigned in October <1947> after finding the strain of business and football activities too much to handle.

In <1970> he worked for the VFL as an investigator.
