Career Statistics

A midfielder drafted at age 25 after a season with Box Hill in the VFL, Jones had been in the Eastern Ranges system as a 16-year old, but was released before reaching their Under 18's program. He returned to South Croydon before playing <2011> in the QAFL.

After joining Box Hill he rapidly improved after a rocky start to the <2012> season to the point where the Demons were happy to take a punt on him with a late draft pick and he impressed in the pre-season to the point where he made his debut in Melbourne's first game of <2013>.

He impressed in an often overwhelmed Demon midfield and was one of only a handful of players to appear in every match for the season, eventually finishing fourth in the club's Best and Fairest award.

He played a further 20 games the next season, but late in the year was dropped for the first time in his career with the club and in <2015> he played just nine games after falling out of favour.

In <2016> he was converted into a defender and played 10 games. After being delisted he returned to South Croydon for <2017>.
