Hi,
The attached patch documents how to crosscompile for Windows 32/64 bits under the Cgywin platform, using the packages created by the MinGW-w64 project (http://mingw-w64.sourceforge.net/)
The packages are available too for Linux, and this doc most probably (but I have not tried) should also be valid there. If there are no concerns, I'll commit in a few days.
