[Aleister Crowley] October 12, 1875-1947Aleister (Edward Alexander) Crowley has been described as a brilliant, yet flawed, student of symbolism and ritual. He was also a clandestine freemason, having had at least four major contacts with regular Freemasonry. Although influencial in the Ordo Templi Orientis and the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn (HOGD), Crowley had no influence on Freemasonry.
