Harold Lincoln Gray

	January 20, 1894 - May 10, 1968 Creator of Little Orphan Annie which first appeared on August 5, 1924, in the New York Daily News and later in the Chicago Tribune. At its height it was syndicated in some 250 newspapers. Gray continued to write and draw the comic strip up until his death in 1968.
