The Best of Times (1986) (original) (raw)
The Best of Times (1986)
With a mix of fictional and real fraternal orders in this film, a key part in the story is played by the members of the fictional Loyal Order of Cariboo [00:32:30], whose handshake [00:33:22] adds a comic touch. A brief shot of an Odd Fellows Hall in the background [00:19:50] is only scenery, as is a later scene of the city's welcome sign [01:10:30]. The fictional Caribou Lodge originally appeared in the late 1950s Blondie television show and in a panel of Jimmy Hatlo's They'll Do It Every Time, and later appeared in an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.
