Thanks and I am impatient to see your benchmark results.

If you have time, could you perform two benchmark runs to compare ThreadLocal vs ConcurrentLinkedQueue modes: In RenderingEngine class: /** use ThreadLocal or ConcurrentLinkedQueue to get the thread RendererContext / / TODO: use System property to determine which mode use */ public static final boolean useThreadLocal = true;

Just change the flag (true/false) and rebuild your OpenJDK.
