I do agree with Ulf
I think it would be useful to have webrev available from the openjdk project home page or a least a pointer to where to obtain a copy.
While you are correct you can find copies via google search, having the tools that are useful accessible from the openjdk site would be a plus

A good start is the OpenJDK developer guide - see http://openjdk.java.net/guide/ to learn how the project works.
That set of pages is mostly filled with promises of the form "This section will contain...". For example <http://openjdk.java.net/guide/processWorkflow.html>: Process Workflow version 0.01 This is the main navigation for the document and the primary entry point. It is intended to be a quick start and overview which will have a hyperlinked diagram indicating sample work flows for common operations such as submitting a bug fix and adding a new API. At one time these sections also contained a schedule for when they would be completed, but those dates have long since passed and the schedule has been removed. It appears that supporting external contributors was never very high-priority. -Neal I think, it would be good idea to make the webrev tool available for external contributors too. It's the perfect tool for discussion on changesets. Additionally IMHO support for working with NetBeans is not as it could be. -Ulf
Err... webrev is available, several external contributors such as myself have already posted patches using it. http://blogs.sun.com/jcc/entry/webrevscriptupdated -- Andrew :-) Free Java Software Engineer Red Hat, Inc.
