I guess I am against inconsistent use of the GNU option pattern. It is bad enough that we have to have different tools with different standards, but if we're going to a more GNU like pattern, we should have a more consistent policy about how we mix these styles. Inconsistently adopting GNU style is in my opinion worse than not adopting it.
