, my eyes hurt. IIRC, there are a few cases which require HTML escaping, like trying to output a fixed-width "@" character, but they are a very small minority.
jsr166 CVS has been converted in this manner, and only a few stragglers remain.
I support jdk-wide coding style updates like this.
