I'll disagree. Getting buy-off on yet another size increase is not a short process. Fixing (and documenting) the DEBUG_BINARIES option can be done independently of the switch from STABS to DWARF.

I'll file a bug (if there isn't one already) and remove stabs for linux. Thanks :-) I think we need two bugs here. One for the DEBUGBINARIES breakage and one for possibly changing to DWARF from STABS on Linux X86.
