The early-access page for jdk 11 (http://jdk.java.net/11/ <http://jdk.java.net/11/>) links to installers for Mac and Windows for the Oracle JDK build, but the OpenJDK builds are plain archives only.
The installers provide additional platform-specific integration (e.g. the /usr/libexec/javahome utility on Mac, and various other integration tools on both platforms). The OpenJDK build would surely benefit from this additional integration, too.
i hope not, it will make CI configurations, image building scripts, etc less regular, so more complex than they should be.
Is this a temporary oversight or intentional? Will OpenJDK get installers? /Lennart
