jdk11u: Windows 32 bit broken (original) (raw)

Hi Alex,

the Windows 32 bit version of jdk11u was usable until the backport of JDK-8210647 yesterday. We only want to keep it alive in 11u, but we need to push fixes to jdk/jdk and then request the backport.

Best regards, Martin

We only build 32 bit with jdk11u, no longer with jdk/jdk that's why we didn't notice it before today.

Just FYI, starting with jdk11 we don't build 32-bit builds anymore for Red Hat jdk-windows releases.

Oracle is not building 32-bit Windows regularly, and I don't think anyone else is doing that. (Perhaps AdoptOpenJDK?) In such a scenario, the code quickly bit rots. There has been no decision as of yet to remove the code from the code base, but unless someone steps up to maintain the code base, it's unlikely to survive in the long term.
