First pull of JDK 9 fixes into JDK 10 (original) (raw)

Thanks.

I'd like to see jdk10 have the same weekly cadence as jdk9 does, which seems to work well.

Integration of fixes from jdk9 to jdk10, publishing of pre-release binaries and javadoc (etc... testing ...?) are all things that jdk9 and jdk10 can do in parallel until 9 is released. And it should not be too much of a burden for our heroic release engineer; just run the same scripts twice.

Hello,

FYI, yesterday Lana did the first pull of changes from JDK 9 into JDK 10 as part of the the new model we're trying [1]. Over 400 changes were involved and the merges went smoothly. This brings JDK 10 up to date with changes up to JDK 9 build 156. Regression test results look good. Cheers, -Joe [1] http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/jdk10-dev/2016-Decemb er/000037.html
