Hi Roger,

The bug is visible: http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/viewbug.do?bugid=7062969 It was likely not visible yesterday and was made visible in this mornings bugs.sun.com update. There was a problem with the update process between bugs.sun.com and Bugtraq over the weekend and a number of bugs were removed. Since then nightly process has been catching up and most of the bugs that were removed are now visible once again. The rest should be take care of early tomorrow morning. 7062969 had been visible up until Saturday and then as affected by the update problem. Also, one thing to take in mind is that the search engine can take 1 -2 days to spider bugs.sun.com. So if you have the bug ID, it is best to enter the ID in the URL http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/viewbug.do?bugid=<BUGID> or you can go to bugs.sun.com and enter the ID in the 'Bug ID' field.

Thanks Roger, Jim Holmlund and I were wondering about this yesterday.

Kumar

Thank you, Roger

Request push approval for CR: 7062969 For some reason this does not appear on bugs.sun.com, so here is the description: Description: Java version: 1.7.0-b146 Problems: In the command line, if you do "java -help", you will see: "See http://java.sun.com/javase/reference for more details." at the end of the output. Should that sun.com be changed into Oracle.com? It already redirects http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/index.html but I think if the javadoc or java -help should also show above url as well in the command. File this bug to make sure the mentioned Sun.com url is changed to Oracle.com

The webrev can be found here: http://cr.openjdk.java.net/~ksrini/7062969/webrev/ The changeset can be found here: http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/tl/jdk/rev/c0c983ca797b The review was dicussed/reviewed on corelibs-dev at openjdk.java.net The patch is identical to the jdk8 changeset.
