I was under the impression that as of 7 the proprietary JDK releases were made from the same code as the OpenJDK releases. Do you have any idea what caused this difference?

Thanks to all those who have contributed towards it. OpenJDK 7u6 source code is available on the Mercurial server [1] and as usual we will also publish a source code archive soon. Once available I will send out a link. If you're packaging this release, please let us know on this list, and please consider contributing fixes back into 7u8 [2], which is open for fixes.
