This is a request to back-port a patch from jdk8 that changes the JPRT configuration to dial-down the number of test targets that are run by default and to add a new "core" testset.
CR: http://bugs.sun.com/view_bug.do?bug_id=7132204
The JDK8 change is here:
http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/tl/rev/0f653ee93477 http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jdk8/tl/jdk/rev/237319a01a9a
The changes for 7u are essentially the same same but the patch isn't identical because of other changes in jdk8. The core set will be somewhat slower to run with 7u until test targets such as jdk_security2 and jdk_security3 are changed to run in agentvm mode (there are dozens of test changes in jdk8 that probably should be moved to 7u at some point). I've added several tests to the ProblemList that weren't in the jdk8 patch. This is because there are several regression tests that aren't passed on Mac yet. A full sync-up of the ProblemList is needed, this is just a first step.
The webrev with the proposed change for jdk7u-dev is here:

Thanks, Alan.
