Hello Amos,
This is pretty much a downstream question and depends on how distribution of the binary take place, so you need to ask to your provider of the binaries. I, however, strongly recommend to install the latest update, since older version lack the critical security patches (and while downstream distributions may decide to add different things into their packages, this is generally the only difference between minor versions).

Currently, the latest Java8 OpenJDK update is 121. How can someone install a specific update and not the "latest" one ? I encountered this requirement when trying to install specific Java 8 version on Ubuntu 16 machine. This is crucial especially for automation scripts where you want to have full control of the installed version. Amos
