The Hotspot team is indeed integrating BSD/OSX changes into hs23, which is the Hotspot version targeted for use in 7u4.

I see that the vm is not the latest ( which is around 22.0-b06) which has some invokeDynamic fixes. Any comments on when the mac version might migrate? As it was announced at JavaOne, the first 7u version that will include Mac OS X code will be 7u4. At that moment all the platforms will use the same HotSpot version. The exact merging strategy and schedule is TBD. As far as I know, HotSpot team is in progress of reviewing and integrating BSD/MacOSX changes. I would expect the next version of HotSpot may work on Mac, however you'd better ask this question at the hotspot-dev alias. Thanks, Artem thanks mark
