Scott, could I know against which jdk7 branch it was built ?

jdk7/jdk7-udev ?

I'd like to do the same for openjdk-osx-build :)

We would like to hear both success stories and issues you have encountered. This EA release includes a beta of JavaFx 2.2 as well - no additional install needed. JavaFx will always be bundled with the JRE on the Mac. The JRE uses Sparkle to update itself. When you run a Web Start app or Java applet we will look for a new version, and as new builds of the plugin are promoted, you will be prompted to update the plugin. This should happen about once a week. When you do update you will need to quit and restart whatever you were running manually. We are working on the restart behavior. A few things to call out: -- JavaFx-based applets do not work yet. We expect to have support soon. -- DeployToolkit (http://java.com/js/dtjava.js) does not handle Mac OS X yet. If you are relying on that, watch this mailing list or the OTN forums and we will let you know when it has been updated. -- There's no installer at the moment, but we will have one by the time we ship. There are a few manual steps needed to get all of the functionality up and running. -- Web Start shortcuts aren't working yet, but Web Start itself works fine. If you have "Java for OS X 2012-001" or later, double-clicking on a JNLP file will use the Java 7 runtime. Please do not use this JRE for bundling. If you are distributing an application, use the JRE inside the JDK for bundling purposes.
