I don't think we want applications distributed by developers to depend on this though - it is simply a logical necessity of using this Mach-o launcher stub as the same binary that stub WebStart .app bundles will use, right?
It would be...unfortunate...if an end user were confronted with a dialog demanding that they install a web plug-in just to launch an app they downloaded.
