Note that an update isn't enough to get you going again on Windows, and neither is (the moral equivalent of) "rm *" in PCbuild followed by an update. But "rm -rf PCbuild" followed by an update was enough for me (I'm working via phone modem -- a fresh full checkout is too time-consuming for me).
