If you're referring to misc/Cookie.py in Mailman, the two files are vastly different (though not necessarily incompatible). The Mailman version derives from a version of Cookie.py dating from 1998, according to the CVS tree. Timo's current version has three different flavours of cookie, the Mailman version doesn't, so you wind up with a 1000-line long diff between the two.
