The Python sites http://www.python.org and ftp://ftp.python.org are back up, thanks to the energetic help of Thomas Wouters and XS4ALL (the dutch ISP that's his employer).

Not only up, but my response time browsing python.org is dramatically faster going to the Netherlands than to CNRI down the street. Downloads are much zippier too. Sweet.
