Here's a little fun codec to play with. It encodes the input using the ROT13 encoding (which is 1-1 and idempotent). The main difference over the existing codecs is that it returns a string rather than Unicode.

To install it, simply place it in some directory on your Python path.

Here's some sample output (Netscape can unscramble this BTW):
