Almost -- its implementation remains the basis of random.py.

Except Zope still uses it quite a bit for some reason.

Shouldn't be a problem since Zope 2.x needs Python 2.1.x anyway, and Zope 3 will surely do whatever it takes to run with Python 2.3.
