but I really don't know how many people would use it. In the end, most people seem to want to work with ZIP (or JAR) files, and zlib supports that well enough.
Hm. I also want to work with tar and tar.gz files. Is there any intend to add a tarfile module to the Python library?
Not that I could do it, since I'm a windows only geek ;-) I only want to read/extract them.
