Could you put such short overviews somewhere on the Python Wiki ?
I don't have the time for that. When I want to publish stuff like this somewhere, I need to spend time to make it all correct, complete etc.
They sure help in understanding what is going on behind the scenes without having to grep through tons of source code :-)
You should start by reading
http://www.python.org/2.2.2/descrintro.html
If you still have questions about descriptors after reading that, grepping the source is an option. :-)
