I don't like it. It already has a meaning (albeit fairly useless) and it doesn't seem obvious from just looking at it that the decorator is connected to the following method. It doesn't taste Pythonic to me. Me too, but no one contrasted my actual use cases with any in any other format, so I must be missing something fundamental. I support an all Guido ticket now and forever, but I don't get the pulling-the-rabbit-out-of-a-hat decorator syntax anymore than the at-sign assignment. Something in the water at PyCon?
