As another Australian, I think that "Making Python Not Suck" implies that if you don't do extra things, Python Sucks. This is not a good thing IMO. "Making Python Suck Less" would be even worse.
Don't worry - it will have a nice friendly title by the time I present it. I'm currently aiming for OSCON, which isn't until August. It's going to be aimed at people who know Python, but aren't necessarily experts, and focus not just on performance, but maintainable and sane code (for instance, not many people seem to realise that del methods are almost always not the right answer to a problem).
How about "Python - You Can Have Your Cake And Eat It Too".
Nah - I have a bunch of ideas kicking around in my head, something will pop out. I doubt I'll ever be able to top the title of my pycon talk, though...
