If this still occurs with Python 2.3.4 or 2.4, please file a bug so it can be fixed (python-dev isn't a good place to remember fixes).

Solaris 10 doesn't correctly define HUGEVAL (I think it's called HUGE in their header files) - so you may want to change the #define in Include/pyport.h from #define PyHUGEVAL HUGEVAL to #define PyHUGEVAL HUGE -- Eirik Mikkelsen <eirik.mikkelsen at unix.net>
