Does this mean that the implementation of Stackless 3.0 could be acceptable to integrate into CPython 2.5? It would be absolutely wonderful to have those capabilities available in the standard distribution!

The most recent answer is that no volunteer has stepped forward to make Python stackless. That, in turn, likely hasn't happened because it is hard to do, and because nobody has seen any reason to do so as you could always use Stackless Python. Regards, Martin
