Yes Gmane is subscribed. I checked if there is a pydev-3000 newsgroup on there server.

Python 3000 new group is:

http://dir.gmane.org/gmane.comp.python.python-3000.devel

I tested it (subscribed) and it works.

Try to refresh your subscription list in the news reader.
