This looks like it needs to be fixed as it's a regression. As Skip said, bug fixes are allowed. There will still be at least one release candidate. It's looking like c1 will be around Aug 18 and final around Sept 12. I'll update the PEP when I get a chance and confirm all the dates.

Does this mean that there is no further opportunity to resolve regressions such as <http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1531405&groupid=5470&atid=105470>, or will changes be allowed between b3 and final? Jean-Paul
