I can handle the PEP (just getting rid of context for now). I'll willingly cede the joy of actually fixing SVN to someone else, though :)

OK, if you fix the PEP, I'll fix the code to match; I added most of those context methods so I can delete them. Unless someone else beats me to it. :-)
