I've now looked at the Valgrind errors; most of them were already in 2.4 or don't matter (ctypes, sqlite3 fixes). One revision remains, changing the size of strings allocated in the confstr() wrapper in posixmodule.c. The patch doesn't apply cleanly -- can someone please look at this?
