PEP 361 lists the following modules for possible inclusion in 2.6 (next to pyprocessing, which is now accepted): - winerror http://python.org/sf/1505257 (Owner: MAL) This patch has been marked as rejected, so I'll remove the entry from the PEP.
Note that the idea is still valid - the implementation of the module should be written in C and the patch only comes with a Python module.
If anyone would like to work on a (generated) C module, please have a look at the patch.
winerror is meant to provide access to the Windows error codes which are currently not available in Python.
