There are some minor bugs in longobject.c that I think should be applied to 2.6.1 and 3.0.1 (not worth it for 3.0). I'll try to put together a separate patch containing these. They're mostly either missing casts or places where int should have been changed to Py_ssize_t.
numbits shouldn't go into 2.6 or 3.0.
