Guys,

I have taken the commitment to lead these tasks and synchronize the people that are willing to help on this.

We are working on several tasks and PEPS to make things happen since the summit.

There's no public roadmap yet on when things will be done (because there's no 100% certitude yet on what shall be done). But that it will probably be too late to see it happen in 3.1. Python 2.7 will be our target.

The tasks discussed so far are:

Each one of this task has a leader, except the one with (*). I just got back from travelling, and I will reorganize http://wiki.python.org/moin/Distutils asap to it is up-to-date.

If you want to work on one of this task or feel there's a new task you can start, please, join Distutils SIG or contact me,
