I don't like the standard library to shrink. It's good that batteries are included. If a decent package management system was included, this wouldn't be an issue..
You can prove anything with a false premise... I believe that a package management system that is decent cannot possibly be included in Python (IOW, any packaging system included in Python cannot be decent enough to allow removal of things from the standard library)
