If I remember correctly CPython uses the long for its hash function so 64bit Windows uses a 32bit hash. Not anymore, Pyhasht is currently aligned with Pyssizet.
Thanks for the update. Python 2.x still uses long and several large frameworks like Zope/Plone require 2.x.
