OK, fine. I'm stopping my efforts of porting the ZTK to Python 3 unless somebody pays me then, if that is the attitude from the core developers on this issue.

I don't know what other core devs, but I don't think this discussion is going anywhere. If porting the ZTK is a burden for you, perhaps you should try to find some financial support for it (or let other people do it for you), rather than accusing the python-dev community.
