2.7 includes many features that were first released in Python 3.1. It might not be clear to a casual reader that the features were released in 2.7.0 and not 2.7.2.  We don't, but many projects do release new features with bugfix version numbers - I'm looking at you, Django.

Okay. I suppose I can say "The 2.7 series" next time.
