yes i've installed both, it now says (after reboot) :

x11info: FOUND: libraries = ['X11'] librarydirs = ['/usr/X11R6/lib'] includedirs = ['/usr/X11R6/include'] Good. Fatal Python error: Interpreter not initialized (version mismatch?) I suppose you have installed two different python versions. For example I had this problem when I tried to install QT having both 2.4 and 2.3 installed. I had some misconfigurations, and while installing for 2.4 was straightforward, 2.3 gave me problems. This should be easily fixable. Anyway, which versions did you install (or am I totally wrong)?

If you have a framework Python 2.4 installed, then you have broken extension building for any unpatched Python 2.3 installation. Please search the archives for more posts by me on this issue.
