Ralf Schoofs obtained this image of the brightest part of M42, well showing the Trapezium cluster of young stars.
M42 as photographed by Michael Purcell from the GCO, with the GCO's ST-6B CCD camera and their Celestron C-14 SCT at f/7. This is a 15-seconds exposure. M43 is just outside the image.
